Once upon a time, long, long ago there was a seething, steaming pot of primordial soup. The muddy mixture bubbled and popped as hot gases made their way to the surface. Much time passed, and then on one momentous day a strange worm-like creature crawled out of the oozing pit of muck. The worm made its way to dry land. More time passed. The worm was bored and decided that since it was hard to play the piano without hands, that it would just grow some. So it did. A bit more time passed and before long the New York Symphony was playing regularly to crowds of thousands.
Sound like a fairly tale? Well, don’t worry, it is. Even though our institutions of so called “higher learning” regularly pawn off this sort of nonsense to an unwary public, it is still an evil, uninformed and ignorant lie. The first verse in the Bible, on the other hand, clearly declares the truth of the matter.
Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
Man did not crawl out of the mud but was created by the one true God, the God that in the beginning created the heaven and the earth.
I can fully understand why there are those who would propound the lie of devil-ution. If you can convince people that some spineless amoeba gradually made its way to become the governor of California, then you entirely eliminate God from the equation. The Book of Psalms contains an interesting verse regarding this.
Psalms 14:1
“The fool hath said in his heart, ‘There is no God'”
According to God then, those who would promote the theory of evolution are fools. God’s words, not mine. If you are offended by this I suggest you take it up with the Author.
I am also not surprised at the attempts of fallen man to concoct an explanation of his own origin. After all it was the pride of the devil that led to his demise. Now that the devil is an eternal loser, he will stop at nothing to get others to follow in his footsteps. It is the age old art of man playing God. If man can just explain his origin, there is no need for God and that is exactly what the devil would like.
Isn’t it interesting that the logic of the matter is not of any importance? I suspect that if a person really took the time to consider the scientific evidence regarding evolution hardly anyone would be duped by the foolishness of the arguments. Certainly no genuine scientist would hang his hat on the theory. However, when it comes to the Bible and the things of God logic is again cast aside. Everyone jokes about mans inability to scientifically predict the weather 24 hours from now but yet when it comes to events that supposedly took place millions of years ago, science becomes the definitive authority. Well I have a scientific term of my own that describes this strange phenomena: “hogwash!”. God says it better: “pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”
So the next time that you are at the zoo and have this strange compulsion to hug a gorilla – just make sure no one is watching. You just might feel secure in your simian nature but I’ll be perfectly frank, the devil is not going to make a monkey out of me.
