One of the aspects of the armour of God that we can carry is having our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Wherever we go we have the privilege of carrying and making known Gods Word. Jesus Christ lived this way for he was a master at taking normal every day situations and turning them into opportunities to make known the Word of God. Paul the Apostle also lived this way, seeking for any occasion where the gospel might be made known. The prophet Isaiah declared how wonderful were the feet of them that made known the glad tidings of good things and in that context he was speaking of knowledge concerning Jesus Christ. Do we live this way? Do we see life’s situations through the filter of making known the truth of the gospel? What a privilege it is for us to be allowed to make known truths that lead people to eternal life. We should never take it lightly but be always ready to do hold forth the gospel.
