This teaching looks at the topic of serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus taught his disciples much about service and he himself was the greatest example of a servant. He taught them that they would one day be rewarded for all their service. So many people are more concerned about working for themselves and pursuing their own goals than they are about the things of God. We have been bought with a price: the life of Jesus Christ. We are no longer our own but belong to him. Serving Jesus Christ does not mean that a person now gives everything else up in their lives. What it means is that whatever you do in your life, you can do it in service to the lord. We ought to recognize that we are no longer our own and that the life we now live, we should not live unto ourselves but unto him which died for us and rose again.
