The more that you look at the Word of God concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, the more you realize how central he is to all that we have and all that we are. This teaching looks at the aspect of Jesus Christ as the cornerstone. Prophecies related to Jesus Christ as the cornerstone state that the stone would be a stumbling block, a rock of offence or a sanctuary (blessing, precious). Jesus Christ himself stated that there would be those who would stumble at the cornerstone and then there would be those who the stone would crush to powder. In this case he was speaking to those who did not believe on him. For those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the cornerstone is precious, a blessing and a firm foundation. Ephesians further states that for believers, Jesus Christ is the corner stone for the habitation of God. What a wonderful message we can bring to a world that is in dire need of hope and a firm foundation.
