The Bible tells us that, at one time, it was possible to know Jesus after the flesh but that we are not to know him that way anymore. Why is that? The answer is the resurrection. This single event changed the nature of Jesus Christ completely. He was exalted to the right hand of God, made far above all principality and power, given a name that is greater than all others, and given a spiritual body that is incorruptible, glorious and powerful. We ought not to limit the ability that he now has by trying to know him after the flesh. By understanding that Jesus Christ has a spiritual existence, many of the Scriptures related to him in the Church Epistles make far greater sense.
