Jesus Christ had been given an earthly ministry to perform. God had sent him as the Messiah to do the work required for man’s redemption and salvation. In that ministry, Jesus Christ always did what God asked him to do. He was about his Father’s business until finally on the cross he declared, “It is finished”. The work that God had given him was completed. After this, God highly exalted him and seated him at His right hand – the position of authority. All power in heaven and in earth was given to him when God raised him from the dead. As such, he now has a great number of responsibilities as he serves from the hand of authority to which he has been exalted. These are ongoing responsibilities that Jesus Christ carries out as part of his continuing ministry. This teaching examines a number of these responsibilities.
