Abraham is a significant figure in the Bible: a man called by God before the Law, and the Nation of Israel was an entity. The promises made to Abraham have resulted in countless blessings to God’s people. In this teaching, we consider the following lessons that Abraham teaches us on listening to God:
- Never doubt the information that God provides (even though it may cause you discomfort)
- Take God at His Word
- Stay put on the Word of God
- Do not allow the startling nature of what you have read/heard to cause doubt
- There can be tremendous joy and rejoicing in believing the Word of God
- If there are any concerns about what you have learned from God, take those concerns back to the source
