God is the source of all blessings in this life. Even though people may not realize it, or be willing to be thankful to Him, it is He who is the source of all blessing. As believers then, we ought to do our best to glorify Him. Giving God the glory involves many aspects of a believer’s walk: thankfulness, honoring God, being humble, praising God, remembering God, etc. – these and others are all related to ensuring that it is God who is glorified. Many times when a person receives blessings in life, the source of those blessings is forgotten or not honoured. We should endeavour to glorify Him when times are good or even when times are bad. Jesus Christ glorified God during his entire ministry on the earth. He always did what God asked, gave God the glory for blessings and directed those who were with him to be thankful unto God. In his amazing walk, because he always declared God and made Him known, he was able to say that if people saw him, they had seen God. When we then in turn make him Lord of our lives, we are glorifying God because it is God who has stipulated that the approach to Him during this age is by way of Jesus Christ. In all that we do, let God be glorified.
