As part of the series on Paul the Apostle, this teaching looks at the records of Paul’s conversion. The records from Acts 9, 22 and 26 are considered to get a full picture of the encounter that Paul had with the Lord Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus. Paul relates this incident when he is captured in Jerusalem (Acts 22) and when he is before Agrippa and Festus in Caesarea (Acts 26). After his conversion Paul spends three years in Arabia and the surrounding area before returning to Damascus and then escaping to Jerusalem. The believers in the churches are afraid of him even though he has now started following the Lord Jesus Christ. He is eventually sent to Tarsus. He left Tarsus as a Judean and returns as a Christian to await his further call to the work of the Lord.
