God’s Word declares so many wondrous things about Him that our reaction ought to be praise and thanksgiving. So often praising God is associated with times when we may have received some sort of blessing. However, praise and thanksgiving should not be relegated to what might be called the good times. It should be our way of life due to the fact that all we have comes from the One True God. The earth is His and the fullness thereof, it is He that gives us power to get wealth, etc. Whether the times are good or bad, our relationship with Him should be one of ongoing praise, reverence and thankfulness. Jesus Christ’s birth was announced with praise to God and his walk exemplified the same attitude towards his father. He is a central figure in the ongoing song of praise to our God, a song in which the very heavens themselves partake. Thanks be to God for giving us the holy spirit so that we can speak in tongues and join in this wonderful song of praise and thanksgiving.
