This series of teachings continues to consider the responsibilities that have been given to the Lord Jesus Christ by God. This teaching deals with his responsibility of being the high priest (mainly from the Book of Hebrews). The office of the priesthood to Israel as mentioned in the Old Testament is explained along with the importance of Melchizedek. The teaching considers the reasons that the office of high priest as held by the Lord Jesus Christ had to be after the order of Melchizedek. There is also discussion around the truth that the responsibility that Jesus Christ has as the high priest is meant to provide ongoing benefit and blessing to the Body of Christ. It is not just a position in name only but a living and vital responsibility that has an impact on all believers. For example, it allows all believers to come boldly to the throne of grace in order to find mercy and grace in time of need.
