There are many records in God’s Word that involve people’s feelings and emotions. This teaching looks at some examples: Moses, Aaron, Ezra, Paul, Jesus Christ, etc. In all of these records, it is the truth that is more important than the potential feelings of those involved. A person’s feelings or emotions should never be allowed to supercede the truth, no matter how deep and sincere the emotions might be. Additionally, we ought never let our feelings get in the way of speaking or living the truths of Scripture. The proper order of emotions is to do the will of God regardless of the feelings that are involved. Generally the emotions that follow will be better suited to our well being.
