The Word of God tells us that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing to the glory that shall be revealed in us. This is referring to the glory that we will have with the Lord Jesus Christ. Certainly the sufferings that we go through while on the earth can and do have substantial impacts on the life that we live and yet the Scriptures state that even the worst of them would not compare to the glory that is to be revealed. This gives us some indication of the extent of the glory that awaits us. It is interesting to note that God says that those who are called generally speaking are not the wise, the mighty or the noble but God chooses the weak things to confound the things that are mighty and the foolish things to confound the wise. The reason for this is that no flesh is to glory in his presence. Given that this is true, it is incredible that we are told that all of creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God and that when this takes place we will be with the Lord Jesus Christ in glory. We will be glorified together with him because our real life is hid with Christ.
