If you have attended any educational institution over the past several decades, you have undoubtedly been exposed to the theory of evolution. This theory says that man originally crawled out of some muddy primordial soup as a worm and eventually became what we see today. In a short video such as this, I do not have the time to discuss the myriad of scientific problems inherent in this theory. What I would like to answer is the question: Is Darwinism Evil?
Now, you may think everyone has the right to espouse whatever theory they want – and you would be correct. That, however, is not the issue. Let me read you a very well-known Scripture from the Book of John:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [KJV]
This is a simple verse, but it contains a powerful truth. God gave his son so that anyone who believes in him can obtain eternal life. Eternal life is possible by believing in the Son of God. So, what does this have to do with Darwinism?
The Bible teaches that God created the heavens and earth and formed, made, and created man. Darwinism says that man crawled out of the mud. In other words, God did not create man. So, if God did not create man, Darwinism contends that man’s mind invented God.
According to Darwin, if there is no God, then there could be no Son of God – and as a result, there is no possibility of eternal life. It is antithetical to the truths of Scripture. Note the following:
1 John 5:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [KJV]
Darwinism says no God, no Son of God, and, therefore, no eternal life. So, is Darwinism evil? If the end result of believing this nonsensical and completely unscientific theory is that it robs you of eternity – what would you call it?
