Monkeys In The Machinery

Perhaps the best known scripture from the Bible – and even by those who do not profess to be Christians – is the first verse in Genesis.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. [ESV]

This verse highlights a very basic and simple truth – it was God who made the heavens and the earth. I don’t suppose there could be anything easier to understand than this very clear and concise verse. It’s odd, however, that this truth could have been the basis of so much controversy for centuries when it’s been in the Bible all that time – and yet, that is exactly what has happened.

If you have attended any institution of learning – even as a youngster, you are no doubt aware of the various other theories that have been concocted to explain the origins of man and the universe. The theories are usually based on scientific observation or other and then extrapolated to explain the very origin of all that exists. And as is the way with mankind, these theories – and yes, they are still called theories despite what is propounded – these theories vary anywhere from a few thousand years to billions of years in their timing. However, they do have one common characteristic which provides a clear clue as to their source: All the theories that have been developed eliminate God as the Creator. Once you have eliminated God from the creation of the universe, the natural conclusion is that God then came from the mind of man. And who do you think it is that might have a vested interest in eliminating God from the equation?

Isaiah 14:13, 14
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. [KJV]

This verse from Isaiah is referring to Lucifer or the Devil. The devil had it in his mind that he would be exalted above all of God’s creation and that he himself would be God. He desired the worship that God had and as such wanted to take God’s throne. Clearly this was not something that God would allow and as a result he was ejected from the authority that he did have prior to his revolt. As a result he then did and still continues to do everything that he possibly can to subvert the purposes of God. Satan as he is also called in the Bible constantly steals, kills and destroys. He is called the accuser of God’s people. In short, he will do what he can to dethrone God in any possible way that he can.

And this brings us back to the common characteristic of the various theories concerning the origin of the universe. The main beneficiary of eliminating God from creation is obviously the devil. He couldn’t be God so now he does what he can to obstruct God. Why he even has some people believing that man crawled out of the mud as a slimy worm creature to someday end up performing brain surgery. Hard to believe that anyone would believe such nonsense isn’t it? But that’s exactly what has happened – the clear and simple truth of Genesis has been supplanted by the most insane and ridiculous statements imaginable. Even top rated universities are complicit with the machinations of the devil as so-called purveyors of higher learning do nothing but act like the creatures that they say we came from. But the source of it all could not be any clearer.

Those who expound these theories might be comfortable in their simian nature but I prefer the simple and clear truth of Genesis – in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And yeah, he made the monkeys too.
